Denarau 8 March 2022 – The staff of Radisson Blu Resort Fiji, Denarau Island today celebrated International Women’s Day and commemorated the achievements of its team.
In celebrating the special day, Director for Sales and Marketing Ema Rayasi Leawere said celebrating International Women’s Day was always an important day for the Resort as it not only raised awareness but also a time to celebrate the success and achievements of its team members.
For the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji family, everything we do is all about working together and empowering one another,” said Mrs. Leawere.
In delivering her address, chief guest Sereima Jesoni. counsellor, advocate and community educator for the Nadi Women Crisis Centre said this year’s theme, “Breaking the Bias” was important as it served as a reminder that all men and women are equal.
Director for Human Resources Sharon Work said celebrating women’s rights and recognizing gender equality is crucial in a safe work environment.
With 135 women currently employed, Radisson Blu Resort Fiji strives to continuously spread the message and empowering women in our workplace. The celebrations included a Zumba session, kokoda making, weaving, aqua aerobics, sarong tying lessons, pool volleyball and lots of cake.
Guests at the Resort also participated in the celebrations.
