Fiji Times 28 September 2020 – Local guests to Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa say they feel confident in the COVID-19 measures being taken to ensure they enjoy a safe weekend getaway.
This was the feedback to this newspaper during the resort’s Beach, Beats and Eats Oktoberfest-themed event last weekend.
Resort executive housekeeper Denis Cruz said a spike in guests from 350, when it began its Beach Beats and Eats event a few months ago, to 550 last weekend presented a few challenges.
“We have seen an increase in guests since we reopened and this has presented some changes to the way we maintain hygiene and cleanliness due to COVID-19,” he said.
