The Fiji Times, 25 August 2017 – THE Tourism Ministry has mapped out specific strategies focusing on culture and heritage in a bid to tap into the growing cultural tourism market. Cultural tourism is a subset of tourism where travellers involve themselves in a particular country or region’s history and lifestyle.

During the opening of the new visitor information centre at the Momi Battery Historic Park in Nadi yesterday, Tourism Minister Faiyaz Koya said Fijians had a responsibility to protect and maintain historical sites.

“The Momi region and surrounding communities are a significant tourism area in the Western Division,” he said. Read more…
