(NATADOLA, FIJI) Tuesday, 26 June 2018 – InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa begins its week-long “Celebrate Service Week” to recognise and give thanks to their entire resort team. This is an annual event that pays tribute to each employee for their invaluable contribution to the resorts continued success since opening.
In its ninth year running, Celebrate Service Week recognises more than 375,000 employees who work at the InterContinental Hotel Group’s (IHG’s) Hotels and Resorts worldwide. InterContinental Fiji is one of over 5,000 hotels in over 100 countries that is managed by IHG and is an initiative that is taking place in
every IHG property around the world.
Every year to mark the begin of Celebrate Service Week, leaders from every department start each shift by welcoming team members to a special serving of morning and afternoon tea with provided entertainment. Further to this, leadership teams take on service roles through their departments to show appreciation for their colleagues who deliver unique experiences and outstanding services every day.
“Our staff members are second to none. I am delighted to recognise and reward their hard work, loyalty, dedication and commitment to InterContinental Fiji. We are where we are because of them, and we couldn’t be more grateful. They have been the key to our success for 9 years now, and it is always our goal to ensure that we show our gratitude to them each and every step of the way,” said Resort Manager, Shaun Cawood.
In addition to saying thank you to the team – the resort has arranged for complimentary health checks to be conducted alongside other business centre services to be provided. These include services from Land and Transport Authority, University of the South Pacific, Fiji National University, ANZ Bank, Bank of the South Pacific, Westpac Bank, Housing Authority and Bred Bank; all of whom are on site to assess and advise staff on any concerns and questions they may need addressed. New to Service Week is a talent quest aptly named “Natadola Has Talent” which will be a fun initiative for the staff to take part in and showcase their hidden skills.
