Fiji Sun, 04 October 2017 – The Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations is calling on firms to self-regulate their wage rates following the coming to effect of the national minimum wage of $2.68 per hour on September 30.
Employment minister Jone Usamate said one of the basic provisions of the legislation was that it called for individual leadership.
He said there were about 7000-10,000 employers in Fiji and it was impossible for the ministry to monitor each and every one of them. Read more…
