THE Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) is urging Fijians to help address the problem of littering and improper rubbish disposal, which affects our natural environment.
And with tourism as Fiji’s largest foreign exchange earner, FHTA environment sub-committee chair Craig Powell said this was important to ensure that Fiji could continue to attract tourists.
Speaking at a FHTA media workshop on Tuesday, Mr Powell said the protection of our natural environment should also involve the community at large.
“Fiji right now is facing multiple challenges where it concerns the environment and the protection of our natural resources,” he said.
