Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF) is now Fiji’s National Private Sector Organization under the umbrella of the Pacific Islands Private Sector Organization
Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation FCEF is a non-profit organization principally financed by members’ subscriptions. Occasionally FCEF is the beneficiary of special grants from organizations such as the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Training and Productivity Authority of Fiji (TPAF), for the funding of specific projects. FCEF has the long-term objective of decreasing its dependence on revenue from members’ subscriptions and fulfils this objective by planning activities and training programmes appropriate to members’ needs on a user pays basis.

Mission
To provide the employers of Fiji with the knowledge, understanding and capability to maintain the best possible labour relations while seeking to grow their businesses and the economy by encouraging the government to provide the environment for the private sector to prosper
FCEF Aims
Promotion of free trade and commerce and the economic development of Fiji
Provision of a forum for consultation and exchange of information and views arising from the relations between:
- Employers
- Employers and their work people, including Trade Unions
- Employers and Government
Promotion of co-operation between employers in the many industries, businesses, and commercial activities in Fiji, as well as with the various statutory organisations.
Promotion and acceptance of the concept that co-operation and consultation among employers is indispensable to the continued growth of Fiji.
Realization that although each member is autonomous and independent of other members, there is an inter dependence between employers in acting in concert for the common good of all in Fiji.
Promotion of the understanding that the continued growth of employment opportunities in Fiji may be sustained only by the maintenance and development of a strong, dynamic and profitable private sector.
