The Fiji Times, 23 June 2017 – FIJI has signed a multilateral convention which is going to assist the tax authority to implement tax avoidance strategies that exploit gaps and mismatches in tax rules.
A statement from the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority yesterday said Fiji signed the multilateral convention to implement tax treaty-related measures to prevent base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS), otherwise known as the multilateral instrument (MLI), in Paris along with 67 other countries on June 7, 2017.
