Fiji Times Thursday 17 August 2017 ANAEMIA has emerged as one of Fiji’s major public health problems.
National Food and Nutrition Centre manager Ateca Kama confirmed that anaemia had shown the highest increase of all medical variables surveyed in the 2014-2015 National Nutrition Survey.
The 2015 National Nutrition Survey report released by the centre yesterday revealed that anaemia had worsened compared with statistics recorded in the 2004 periodical survey conducted by the centre.
