African Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) has praised Fiji for its lead role in the UN Ocean Conference in New York.
ACP’s secretary-general Doctor Patrick Gomes said yesterday: “At global level, Fiji has become a major player in looking at not only how small island states have to develop, but also how the entire oceans and seas of the world (could be protected).
“Fiji therefore resonates as a champion for a serious and comprehensive overall approach by which we can see the ocean and sea in a positive way serving mankind,” he said. Read more…
