The Fiji Times, 17 May 2017 – GOVERNMENT is suggesting a $2.68 minimum wage because it will be good for the worker and not too costly for the employers, says Economics Professor Partha Gangopadhyay.
Professor Gangopadhyay was selected by the Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Jone Usamate, to lead the Government’s review of the national minimum wage and the ten sectoral wages regulations.
Prof Gangopadhyay said it was crucial that they made a decision that was beneficial to workers and the economy. Read more…
