Subsidised Training – Employment Relations Act 2007
17 October @ 8:30 am - 18 October @ 3:30 pmFJ$150
Employers, managers, human resource practitioners and all those connected with managing an enterprise are regularly confronted with issues and problems relating to employees. Most are related, but not limited, to disciplinary issues like misconduct, unacceptable level of absenteeism and poor performance. Disciplinary action taken by an employer is often challenged by workers and trade unions and the common law right of an employer to terminate an employee by due notice is no longer available to them; an employer must justify every termination. An employer’s task is further compounded by the introduction of the new Accident Compensation Act 2017, Workmen’s Compensation Act and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
An employer’s knowledge of the Employment Relation’s Act 2007 (which was previously known as the Employment Relations Promulgation 2007) is important for compliance and operations.
The Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF) will be conducting a workshop on Labour Legislation and recent amendments at a subsidized cost and the planned workshop is highly recommended for HR personnel and Administrators.
The objectives of the workshop are as follows:
- Accident Compensation Act 2017
