FHTA Contemporary Island Cuisine Training, 02-06 March, Savusavu
2 March @ 8:00 am - 6 March @ 5:00 pm
14 February 2020 – The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism will be running a Contemporary Island Cuisine Training in the Northern Division. This is a 5-day training course that is scheduled for Monday 02 to Friday 06 March 2020 at the Daku Resort in Savusavu.
This is an excellent opportunity for upcoming resort chefs in the North to learn innovative uses and preparation methods of local produce, which is the result of a partnering initiative between MITT and the Ministry of Agriculture, with the support from FHTA.
This training will assist in addressing issues of sustainable tourism by expanding the backward economic linkages (farmers, producers, chefs, hotels) through training of local chefs and promoting the use of locally grown produce on their menus and beverage lists.
MITT also collaborated with FHTA to ensure that quality training is accessible to you, our Northern members.
This training is free of charge but space is limited due to the facility kitchen size so send your nominated kitchen staff details now to email@example.com.
