Accident Compensation Commission Information Workshop

The Accident Compensation Commission is working with FHTA with workshops in Suva and Nadi that are designed to update members on the commencement and enforcement of the Accident Compensation Act 2017.
From 01 January 2019, all workers will now be compensated for injuries and deaths as a result of an accident arising out of and in the course of employment, and students will be compensated for accidents occurring at school premises, on a no-fault basis by the Accident Compensation Commission, Fiji (ACCF).
The workshop objective is to assist members to understand and fully appreciate the new Accident Compensation Act 2017, the Accident Compensation (Third Party Insurance) Regulations 2017, the role of the Accident Compensation Commission Fiji (ACCF) and how the applications of the amendments affect HR policies.
The Association recommends that members attend these awareness sessions and send senior members of their HR teams to ensure business understand the amendments & implications.
